my high school homecoming is on september 27 and me and about 10-15 other friends wanted to rent a party bus for about 5-6 hours. what we were going to do was have the party bus pick us up at one location, take us to homecoming, we were going to go in, take pictures, socialize and then get back on the party bus and take it down to the las vegas strip. then, have the party bus drop us all off at the location it picked us up at. does anyone have any suggestions on party buses that are fun but not too too expensive. i dont want my friends to pay over 70 dollars each for the night.

A friend and I are on our way home to Australia and New Zealand.

We are heading from London to New York in mid December. From there we have a month before we catch flights onwards to Australia and New Zealand.

We were thinking New York to Washington DC, Chicago, Miami and onto Las Vegas then LA.

If anyone has any suggestions on the way for us to do it and what we should check out , id really appreciate it!. Our budget is limited and we are probably looking at a mix of car rentals, flights and buses/trains.

Many thanks

G
Theres just too many awesome places in America to check out in only one month and its so huge!.

We only have a month.. from December 14 to January 14… that will make it winter!. Maybe we will fly to Miami and then take the southern route via Houston to LA?

What should we check out in all these places!?. We both like bars, clubs, girls, scenery, monuments etc.

I defiantly want to see the grand canyon.

Born & raised in NYC, been in Las Vegas for almost a year, now considering Denver. How much do the little things cost? Cigarettes? (Marlboro) Gas? A typical McDonalds #2?

I’ve already seen from craigslist the prices as far as apartment rentals. How much is the starting wage for waitresses/bartenders? In NYC it’s like $4, in Vegas $7, how about Denver?

My fiancee and I also own an Entertainment company… we host Kid’s Night at Restaurants (Character Costumes, Clowns, Balloon Animals, Face Painting) & Karaoke/DJ Services, Mobile Parties, etc…. Is there a lot of competition out there? Do you need more family-fun entertainers?

Lastly, will our new neighbors find the New York accent interesting and be welcoming of us, or am I going to be the town outcast if I sport my Yankee hat out in public?

I noticed many in Las Vegas but here in the Twin Cities, MN which is not very touristy I don’t see any but then again I naturally don’t check. The ones in Las Vegas seemed to reflect the cost of living there (very average for America) and the gambling industry had nothing to do with it obviously because there were no slots in the buildings. My reason for asking is because I’d like to move out of MN and into a more likeable place such as California, Florida, or other coastal state. I tried googling “weekly rentals”, “motel apartments” , etc and the ones I found looked out of my price range. I intend on heading out, aggressively trying to find any type of job or two which I can do, then rent in a more traditional apartment building. I already know that M.A. tend to have a bad reputation — dirty, lots of convicts and the like, etc.

Okay so I am from Ireland and I was hoping to do a road trip from east to west coast America. Now here is the route, well the major cities of the route just to get the idea in your head, we will be stopping at smaller cities and towns:
flight into Boston – New York – Philly – Washington – Miami – New Orleans – Houston – San Antonio – Las Vegas – LA – San Fran

There is going to be a group of about 5 or 6 of us. We plan on renting a minivan or suv for this trip and the trip will be 60 days in total. Now I think to rent an suv for that long is about €2000, but that will be between 5 or 6 of us. Could someone tell me roughly how much this trip will cost, you can exclude the cost of flights and rental car, I just want a rought estimate per person how much it will cost for 60 days for food, drink, petrol and general spending?

My husband and I are thinking about going to Colorado Springs in February, to visit family. It seems to me that driving is a few hundred dollars cheaper than flying – 2800 miles worth of gas plus a night in a hotel each way, vs. round trip tickets for two plus baggage and other BS fees plus a rental car once we get there. However, my husband is concerned that we could get stuck in snow.

If you have any experience with this route in the winter, what is your opinion?

Google maps gives three options: Highway 80 all the way out to Cheyenne; Highway 15 and 70, via Las Vegas and Grand Junction; and Highway 40 through AZ and NM to Highway 25 (looks like very little mountains this way). I have never been on any of these highways except 80 to Reno and back several times. The one time it was snowing bad, a 3 hour trip back to the Davis turned into 12 hours.

Also, any interesting places to stop along the way?
