The Monte Carlo hotel in Las Vegas caught fire on friday 1/25/08. This is the view from my apartment located 2 miles west of the Las Vegas strip. The fire started on the roof facing east (strip front) then quickly made its way over the top to the west side where you can clearly see the flames. Where’s Charlton Heston (Towering Inferno) when we need him?
