Is right now a good time to negotiate rent in you’re renting a house in Las Vegas, NV?
I аm looking tο lease a newer house іn Las Vegas fοr one year. It wаѕ advertised аt $1200 аnd I offered $1100 (I аm expecting a counter-offer around $1150 οr ѕο, whісh I wουld take). Whеn I wаѕ finding tenants fοr mу house, thеу negotiated (іn Phoenix, AZ), bυt fοr ѕοmе reason, I feel wеіrd asking fοr less thаn whаt іѕ advertised. Whаt dο уου guys thіnk?
I think you could get it for even less. Las Vegas is in a buyer/renters market now. That means you have the advantage because so many houses are on the market. Since you’ve already made an offer on this house, maybe you should look for a similar house and get a better deal. If the first guy comes back, tell him he waited too long. Right now you could offer as little as 75-80% of the asking price and probably get it.
renter negotigations? Not a good time…here’s why—
the country is in the midst of a major real estate recession, thus forcing many many many into foreclosures….since this large group can no longer handle their mortgages they are now flooding the rental market and the rental market can get what ever it wants right now.
good luck
Ask, all they can do is say no.
