What are some cheap Las Vegas off strip hotels?
Im going tο Las Vegas wіth a couple friends whο hаνе never bееn tο Vegas. Unfortunately аll thе major strip hotels аrе booked οr crazy priced. Dοеѕ anyone know οf аnу cheap hotels οff thе strip, within close walking distance. Somewhere between excalibur аnd treasure island. Wе wont bе іn thе hotel besides tο pass out drunk ѕο dont need anything nice οr expensive. Jυѕt lookn fοr somethn whеrе wе саn walk thе strip аnd thеn back tο thе hotel. Gеt іt?
The closet hotel casino is Gold Coast, over freeway to west and about mile to Bellagio. But there are hotels on Paradise, walking distance, to the east from Wynn.
The price is based on weekends and conventions or holidays so avoid those, come on Sunday thru Thursday. You might try Stratosphere
If you want to walk back and forth to the strip, you should try the Rio.
I am not sure what you consider too expensive. I tend to send people to http://deals.lasvegasadvisor.com They have great rates for on strip and off strip hotels. You can get somewhere like bally’s, harrah’s or imperial palace for $20-50 a night. The key is to be flexible in the dates you can go, the hotels have a tendency to jack the rates up when there is a big event in town. The search tools on lasvegasadvisor should help you find rates within your budget. Hope this helps. Enjoy your next trip!
If you want cheap, try one of the downtown hotels(Fremont Street).

There’s usually a lot going on down there as well.
Or an off strip hotel such as Sam’s Town, Orleans or Gold Coast. They all have free shuttles to/from the strip.
Casino Royale is on the strip.
Terrible’s is a short walk from the center strip area.
You might try the Las Vegas Hilton. Which connects to the strip via the monorail
Hooters(hotel/casino) is just across from the MGM.
There aren’t many that are off the strip that is ‘close’ for walking. Even if you found a cheap place on the strip, it is unlikely that you’d be up to walking the whole strip. We did that the first time we went, and wound up walking 4+ miles that first day because everything seemed ‘close’.
I’d recommend Fremont Street. Most hotels are $50/night, if that depending on which day of the week you go. There is a bus that takes you up and down the strip, and you can buy a ticket for 24hrs, and takes about 10 minutes. In addition, gambling is better on Fremont.
I’d check again. Flamingo, Ballys, Excalibur, Harrahs, Imperial Palace all tend to be quite reasonable in price most of the time. Just avoid Friday and Saturday.
There are some hotels on the strip that offer great deals during the week. Some as low as $60 per night. I like using hotel websites to find good deals.
If you want to go clubbing in vegas, go to a discount website like las vegas nightclub deals to get $15 Las Vegas Nightclub VIP Passes!
Last month we went to Las Vegas and ordered ten passes to Pure and ten to Moon for a group of friends and we saved at least a couple of hundred dollars.
That night we had a great time and even got to cut line with the passes.
If you are ever going to Las Vegas be sure to go to http://www.lasvegasniteclubdeals.com and get your fifteen dollar passes. I highly recommend this site.
Don’t wait until you get to Vegas or your will be paying $30-$40 per entry and you will have to wait in line.
Good luck with finding a hotel!
My name is Preston Rideout and I have lived in Vegas for 8 years. Room Rates have never been as low as they are today. All Las Vegas Hotel Casino rooms are cheap this month. Gas prices have reduced California traffic driving to Vegas on the weekend and increasing Hotel Occupancy rates. Low occupancy leads to low room rates. Check out Vegas.com and search for a Hotel Room and select the descending price option to return the Room rates starting with the lowest to the highest.
